Welcome PROFESSIONALS to the
Wise Guys Program!

Wise Guys is an evaluated program that has been proven successful in helping young males make better, wiser decisions about sexuality. The Wise Guys program is committed to:

  • Empowering young men with the knowledge they need to make effective decisions.
  • Encouraging young men to respect themselves as well as others.
  • Helping young men understand the importance of male responsibility, particularly sexual responsibility.
  • Helping young men improve communication with parents, educators, peers, and others.

The broad goals of the Wise Guys Program are to:

  • Redefine Male Strength.

Physical force is too often perceived to be a man’s greatest asset. Young males are bombarded with this message over and over again as they mature. Our program assists males in redefining male strength as a man’s character, his values, and his ability to make wise, responsible choices.

  • Transform Male Culture.

Our society has sent males the message that to be male is to be angry, aggressive and violent. To be anything else is seen by some as a sign of weakness or peculiarity. All too often, women are seen as objects to be used and then discarded. Sex is a game or contest for some males, where conquest is the ultimate goal.

Our program assists males in understanding the harm done by this type of culture and by empowering them with the tools to change it one male at a time.

We offer trainings to professionals all over the country. Our experienced trainers can conduct trainings on-site, where professionals can learn how to replicate the program successfully in their community. We also offer these trainings at our headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina , on a quarterly basis. In addition, we host a two-day National Training for Professionals annually.

Young people have a right to information, skills, and services they need to make healthy, responsible sexual decisions. Every young man in the country should have the opportunity to participate in a “Wise Guys® program.”
