E-News is a periodic publication examining the issues and needs addressed by the Wise Guys program. This free email newsletter is geared toward professionals who work with adolescent males; however, anyone may sign up for the service.

By subscribing to the Wise Guys program's E-NEWS, you will receive the latest news and information relevant to male adolescent issues as well as updates from around the country on how others are implementing the Wise Guys program in their communities.

Included will be practical "tips" from the Wise Guys staff who provide multi-sessions to more than 1300 young men each year.  You will also receive information on upcoming Wise Guys trainings and other events.

Wise Guys received the Moses Cone  ~ Wesley Long Community Health Foundation Wellness Award.

This award recognizes an innovative program that measurably improves the health status of those served. Programs are evaluated based upon innovation, impact, scope of program and the need for the program in the community.


The Wise Guys program is pleased to announce the selection of Samy Nie to the fifth Youth Leadership Team

  • The Youth Leadership Team is comprised of 18 outstanding young people age 14-17 from around the country.
  • The team will advise the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy on many aspects of their work and give voice to the unique perspectives of teens. 
  • Samy, the only 14 year old on the Youth Leadership Team is a freshman at Ragsdale High School.  He is a member of the school band and likes to skateboard in his spare time.
  • Samy participated in the Wise Guys program during his 7th and 8th grade years at Jamestown Middle School
  • He was nominated by Wise Guys for the Youth Leadership Team, because of his desire to reduce teen pregnancy among his peers and his interest in making a difference in the community.
