Process Objectives
Process objectives are those everyday tasks that propel the mission of a program. Another term for process (objective) is activity. Activities or process objectives are fueled by inputs or resources. Examples of resources in the Wise Guys program are staff, volunteers (perhaps in the form of advisory committee members), curricula, and funding. The Wise Guys process objectives listed below are generalizations of the everyday tasks that make up the work staff do.
Process Objective 1
To provide a series of 8-12 classes over about 2-3 months for young males between the ages 11-17 which focus on self-responsibility, sexual responsibility, family communication, and developing positive life options.
Process Objective 2
To train parents of young males in family communication techniques, human sexuality information, and teaching self responsibility.

Outcome Objectives
Outcome Objectives are the goals a program hopes to accomplish as a result of investing through its activities (process objectives) numerous resources (inputs). The United Way describes outcomes as benefits for participants during or after their involvement in the program. The outcome objectives for adolescent male participants in the Wise Guys program include
- Increased family communication between adolescent males and their parents
- Increased knowledge about healthy sexual attitudes and behavior as well as risks and consequences of sexual involvement
- Increased ability to identify personal values and beliefs regarding sexuality and sex role stereotypes which influence behavior in relationships.
Outcome objective achievement is measured by indicators. In the Wise Guys program these indicators are measured through administration of a participant survey which gathers information on knowledge, attitudes, and behavior.
